Person stretch out his hand in worship on reckless abandon

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. – Galatians 2:20 (NIV)

If there is anything in our heart that seeks to be served and to be satisfied by other people especially those close to our hearts, it means the old identity is still alive. Find out how to live in Christ reckless abandon.

We all long for significance. It’s part of human nature because God has created us in that way. But He did not create us to have envy and jealousy. When envy and jealousy attach them to significance, that’s where the real problem comes in—the need to be satisfied and gratified.

Meaning of True Life

Genuine satisfaction comes not from receiving but from giving out. We truly become satisfied when we get to a place of dying to this selfish desire to be always pleased by people. It’s in the pouring out that we find true life.

This is a lost principle and very unpopular teaching. Culture has taught us to do what makes us feel good. Therefore, people run from stuff after stuff to fill that void. In so doing, they spend so much time watching everyone else’s newsfeed that they’ve lost time to spend with the One who is able to quench their thirst. Have you experienced extravagant worship in Him yet?

Trying to fill your container with “stale water” other than with the Living Water will make you stink. The majority of the people are chasing after are nothing but “stale water”. It can fill your vessel temporarily but sooner or later it will contaminate the whole thing.

We are to receive freshwater and not to receive junks. Only if we stop seeking to satisfy ourselves and start crucifying these “selfish desires” in the secret place, then we shall surely discover the real purpose God created us for.

We cannot serve two masters at the same time. It’s either our attention is on Him or not. Anyone who is unwilling to give up everything he holds dear is not worthy to follow Him who gave up His throne in heaven to become a helpless infant only to die a criminal’s death on the cross. In the context of surrender, dying is a beautiful thing. And I believe that it’s in the abandonment of what we hold valuable that we become able to truly express our love for Him.

It’s not a loss. But a gain.
